What is MSS Ultra Swim?
MSS Ultra Swims feature a unique, timed point-to-point open water 'off-road' format, set in various challenging conditions at beautiful locations. Each MSS Ultra Swim event offers a different experience for every swimmer. As race organizers, we promise a top-notch safety and support system, along with community-driven event management. We’ve got your back and are here to help you swim like a champion. But in the end, it’s all about your own physical and mental strength to achieve your dreams and become your best self.
This edition of the MSS Ultra Swim invites you to swim from the iconic Gateway of India to Atal Setu, a 15-17 kilometer journey. You can choose to swim solo or join forces with up to three friends to form a relay team.
Technicalities & Services
Route Distance : 15 - 17kms. Actual distance will vary on event day based on weather conditions.
Event participation : Solo & Relay (upto 4 team members).
Event format : Each Solo / Team will be supported by a crewing boat.
Swim proficiency : Previous Open Water Swimming Experience Required. Solo - 5k & Relay - 2k OWS / Triathlon certificate.
Crew : Your friends & family can be involved (conditions apply), or simply make the most of a great day outdoors.
Swim Kit : Memento, E Certificate, Refreshments, Tee Shirt & goodies.
Swim Conditions: Expect early sunrise starts (6 am), varied conditions (definitely not always going to be flat calm), islands and open sea, currents, wind, and a bit of everything on the MSS Ultra Swim! Total cut-off time of 6 hours, if you or your team don't make it to the finish line in 6 hours we will ask you to abort the Swim. Water temperatures can vary between 20C and 25C… wetsuit is not recommended. The possibility of Jellyfish not being present is not guaranteed.

Rules & Regulations
1. The planned minimum distance is 15 - 17km. The actual course and distances will always depend on the weather factor we can’t control, but we will do everything we can to help you nail the full route.
2. Relay teams can be formed mens / womens / mixed. Relay team can be 2,3 or 4 members as the team wishes. The final list of participants needs to be submitted by 10th October.
4. Every boat will have a Swim Official appointed by MSS.
5. Relay team swimmer swim sequence, once decided cannot be changed. Incase of any change of swim sequence, the team is to inform the on-board swim official. In such a case the team will be allowed to continue but disqualified for memento and e-certificate.
6. Solo swimmers will not be allowed to get on the boat until the route endpoint. In case one needs to rest/abort swimming, the swimmer needs to inform the on-board swim official. In such a case swimmers will be allowed to continue but disqualified for memento and e-certificate.
7. The finisher's e-certificate and memento are to be allocated to the individual / team (all members) upon completion of the route in accordance with the rules only.
8. For any reason (weather, swimmers health, safety concerns, etc) organisers have the rights to ask any swimmer to abort swimming and board the boat. Any and all swimmers must at all times adhere to the instructions given by the organizers immediately. The decision by the organizers is final.
9. Event changes: Due to the unpredictable nature of the event, there can be changes in the course or the date for safety reasons. These can happen last minute too and MSS will prioritize safety first. In case of such a change, participants have to abide by the changed rules. In case of rescheduling, if the participant can’t participate on the new date, 90% of the amount will be refunded.
10. The deadline for registration is 2nd October. Deadline for document submission, 10th October. Deadline for corrections, 14th October.
11. Any changes are allowed till 10th October only.
12. Tickets are transferable till 10th October.

14. Refund Policy:
a. 90% refund till 2nd October.
b. 80% refund from 3rd October to 10th October.
c. 50% refund from 11th October to 10th November.
d. No refund after 10th November.
15. Confirmation of swimming: Solo or Team will be confirmed a swim slot based on clearing all formalities and eligibility.
Eligibility Confirmation: Solo swimmers or teams will be granted a swim slot upon successfully completing all required formalities and meeting eligibility criteria.
Experience Requirement: Previous open water swimming (OWS) experience is mandatory. Participants must provide a certificate demonstrating at least 5 km OWS swim for Solo or 1 hour swim for Relay in an OWS event (triathlon certificate allowed if swim leg was OWS).
Health Certification: All participants must submit a health certificate issued by a licensed physician, not older than 60 days from the event, confirming their fitness to participate in the event.
Required Documentation: To complete the registration process, all swimmers must submit the following:
A signed indemnity form.
Necessary permission forms.
A government-approved personal ID card.
